After the City of Zug we are proud to announce a brand new partnership with the Zuger Kantonalbank. Trough the Zuger Kantonalbank we promote modern movement forms such as Breakdance or Flatland BMX. The City Council of Zug has decided to support the Boardstock Festival officially. Togehter a Concept to create more movement within a large target group shall be realized. First Step is the lauch of the ZUG SPORTS VILLAGE where local Clubs can show their offer for free to gain new members and attraction. I the pilot year is a success there will be more activities in 2011, when Boarstock celebrates its 10th Birthday. It’s a big step for the Festival. Therefore we changed the name to "Boardstock – the young Sport Festival of Zug"

The IMS Sport AG under the lead of Erwin Gross and Martin Erpen is a well known Swiss Sports Marketing Agency that is active in different sports such as Hockey (SC Bern), Football (Uhrencup), Golf (Swiss Venture Trophy), Unihockey (die Mobiliar Versicherungen), Beachvolley (Coop Beach Tour). Daniel Schärer will support the IMS Crew concerning Business & Project Developpment. This is the main reason that for the moment no vitamind Packages can be booked ! The collaboration started on may 1, 2010.
The development of the Boardstock Sommer- and Sportfestival goes further on. Together with the sport department of the town of Zug the ZUG SPORTS VILLAGE is launched. All Sport Clubs of the town of zug invited to show their sports to the visors of the festival. A WIN WIN Situation: Visitors meet even more sports and clubs are getting new members… a visionary step in the right direction.
There is a new cultural Highlight in Zug: Casino Style. Ever heard of classic battles? It’s where cultures and scenes mix up to a nice party. This brand new an very progressive format was born in a workshop under the lead of Samuel Steinmann and Marc Menden/ZH. And guess who was part of that workshop too… yep, Daniel Schärer
Together with the well known boating magazine marina.ch vitamind realized a new visual identity for the Lakemotions Boat- and Component Trade Show around the lake of Zurich. The Communication Campaign designed by vitamind offered Partner not only print but automatically online presence as well. Unique Packages for modern clients. That’s probably why all communication packages have been booked out within 3 weeks.
Due to the heavy demand for packages during the first half-year, packages can only be contracted longer-term and very selectively. Word has gotten out that activating a brand needs much more than just a single element such as an event or promo. That’s where VitaminD plays the role of service provider and facilitator, not the implementer. This model has proven itself and we’re looking forward to some great and most of all longer-term projects in 2010. How can you start the year better than this: on the 24th (28th) of December, Daniel Schärer married his beloved Conny in the presence of a small group of friends and family. Naturally not in the 8m2 office of the Justice of the Peace but at the top of a mountain at sunset. The subsequent shared sunset run back to the valley was incredible. The main celebration will take place in the summer of 2010… on the water. The best party for the best woman.
The legendary Jingle Balls Tournament for customers and friends was held again this year. Hair-raising costumes and action again brought smirks and laughs from all attending. A cloak of silence will once again be spread over attendees and winners, but the hot Policewomen won not only the men’s hearts but also the huge trophy. The King, his guards, the Jester and the Queen unfortunately went away empty handed. But – the attack will be on again next year! More information at www.jingleballs.ch.

Yet another successful launch for our newest „Baby“: the Samsung Session. Over 1500 guests experienced a superlative event with Daniel Merriweather, Clueso and the enchanting Oceana. That was followed by DJ M-Life who took us back to our youth and everyone got into a flashy string of class songs. With that the foundation is laid for the Samsung Session – a true happening which goes well beyond just event organization based - of course - on a concept by Daniel Schärer.
And now it’s here: the new “wonder weapon“ from Mastercraft – with a new marketing plan from VitaminD Marketing. A creative blend of initiatives for all marketing areas, focused on the target audience and combined with the new Mastercraft Ambassadors - designed to duplicate last year’s success. We’re jazzed!
Vitamin D launches the Samsung Session. The Samsung Session took place last Saturday as part of the 2009 Samsung Touchpower Campaign which was conceived, coordinated and executed by Vitamin D. Beautiful music, beautiful ambiance and beautiful, intelligent and interesting people – what else could you ask for? Daniel Merriweather, Clueso & Band, the newcomer Oceana and the most beautiful students in Switzerland met up in the Maag Halle for the conclusion of the on-/offline Touchpower campaign. Desperado comes along with a fantastic story: “Are you Desperados?” which is basically the same as “Are you Nuts?!” When we were younger, all of us did something dumb that no one was supposed to know about. Now you can all be young again and screw up again in a really fun way ... they say that “Red Bull verleiht Flügel” – “Take Off with Red Bull” – THIS is taking off ;-) It’ll also be a look back at this summer’s Boardstock Festival – and of course with a big helping of Desperado!
Sold additional packages. Vitamin D will make sure that Desperado, a beer from the Heineken Group will have its best foot forward in 2010. We look forward to developing a fresh, bold story with the potential for cult-status. Are you a Desperado?

Two years ago, during a workshop, I suggested to the FIA (Federation International d’automobile) that they make the rally pilots into pop stars. The old men in the WRC (World Rally Championship) listened, but never implemented this. Now, DC Shoes with Ken Block are showing them how it’s done. Check it out. I love it. Look at the number of viewers on YouTube… If I ever have to choose between a Subaru and a Golf, I know which I’ll pick…

This may be old news for many, but consumer activation hasn’t been launched so spectacularly, consistently and with a modest budget for a long time. The Reebok “Pick me!” spot is a legend - particularly the one with the bells. If Puma knows anything, we should soon see something similar with Bolt… (Touchdown in 9.52 seconds or something…)… PUMA: If you like the idea, please call.
Quite a bit has happened concerning the Boardstock since the collaboration with Rivella and the jointly-developed motto “Almost Like Vacation.” This year’s roughly 15‘000 visitors are an increase of almost 30% since last year, and all of them said the same thing: “It’s almost like vacation”. This is what I mean by “Tell a good, authentic story”.
